GRAVEL MANIA | The Brake the Cycle team recognizes an opportunity when it appears. The explosion in popularity of gravel bikes is not lost on us and we cooked up a new event to spread our message while being part of the in-crowd of gravel bikers. Tattoos and facial hair optional.

Last October, we introduced the North Georgia BTC Gravel 50. Our friend and fellow bike geek Danny Presten put together his ideal gravel route. He shared it with a like-minded group of cyclists and used the ride as an opportunity to share our message of the need for clean water in Zambia and our simple solution. $50.00. A $50 gift provides clean water for a lifetime to one person in Zambia.

With a few aid stations, some cool swag, lunch and some great support people, they provided clean water for 38 people for a lifetime.

This year’s event is on Saturday, September 16th. We’re offering 25 or 50 mile options, and the schedule and route details are below.

Please email us at info@brakethecycle.com with any questions and we look forward to riding with you!
