Walk for Water - Aspen Invitational Hiking Adventure

You may be most familiar with our 100k bike ride, now in it's 13th year, as a fun and intentional event raising money to empower people to Brake the Cycle of poverty in their communities of rural Zambia. But if cycling isn't your thing, then join us for a beautiful hiking excursion with breathtaking views and an opportunity to learn about Aspen and the Rocky Mountains.

As hikers, we invite you to enjoy a fully supported morning outdoor adventure, enjoy the views and the feeling of being part of nature. Two routes will be offered this year (moderate and advanced).

All participants are invited to join us, together with the cycling registrants, for a Celebration Dinner at the Limelight Aspen on July 13th.

Schedule

Friday, July 12th

8:45am: Walk for Water check-in at Limelight Aspen
9:00am: Depart for hiking location
12:00pm: Return to Limelight Aspen

Saturday, July 13th
6-8:00pm: Celebratory Dinner in the Courtyard at Limelight Aspen

Registration Cost

Registration cost is $200.00. Registration includes hiking access, guide, snacks, bottled water and participation in the 13th Annual Celebration Dinner at the Limelight Aspen on July 13th. The hike is on gravel, but flat terrain and will take about 1 hour at a leisure pace. Most important, your registration fee provides safe, life sustaining clean water to a family of four in Zambia for a lifetime!

Donate to Change Lives

  • $50 provides safe, life-sustaining water every day to one person for a lifetime

  • $250 provides safe, life-sustaining water every day to a Zambian family of five

  • $15,000 provides the gift of a hand pump well that provides safe, life-sustaining water every day for 300 people

  • Brake the Cycle’s Aspen Invitational event goal is $300,000

  • Donations are all tax deductible
